Model Home Earns HERS Score of 53

The model home at Laurel Court as surpassed expectations of a HERS score of 60 or below by coming in at 53!  This fantastic score earned 4 Laurel Court the highest rating possible of 5 Stars Plus by GDS Associates, Inc., a third party company testing the home.

What does this mean?  According to the report issued, estimated energy savings at the model home are $954 per year!  The estimation takes heating, cooling, water heating, lights and appliances into consideration.

Sound Barrier Construction Begins on I-95 Bridge

Laurel Court and Atlantic Heights residents will be among the beneficiaries of a new sound barrier to reduce noise pollution from I-95. Construction began this week on the wall, which measures 2,000 feet long and 12 feet high, according to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

The project is expected to continue through the summer and fall months with a targeted completion date of June 2013.

Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for March 15

Mayor Eric Spear will join members of Chinburg Builders, The Gove Group Real Estate and local real estate brokers in a ribbon cutting ceremony at Laurel Court on Thursday, March 15.  The brief ceremony will take place at 3:30 with a broker reception following from 4-6pm offering tours of the new model home.

Model Home Update

Construction on the model home continues to move quickly! On the exteriors, siding, windows, trim are nearing completion and the garage doors and farmer’s porch have been installed. Inside the home, framing is complete and the high efficiency insulation process has begun.

Construction Underway at the Model Home

Things are starting to happen at Laurel Court! The first model home, the Samantha plan by Wendy Welton, is currently being framed on Lot 10.

You can already see some of the differences between a standard new construction build and a High Performance Home. The home photo shows the DOW SIS sheathing which is part of our high performance package, a super tight, anti-thermal bridging material.

Laurel Court has received approval by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office to accepting binding sales agreements. You’re now that much closer to your new High Performance Home in beautiful Portsmouth, New Hampshire!

It’s here… foodies rejoice! Portsmouth Restaurant Week is here! Over forty of Greater Portsmouth’s finest restaurants are participating in a bi-annual event designed save diners money and introduce new menu items with the best local, seasonal ingredients.

Welcome to Laurel Court Portsmouth

Ground has broken on Portsmouth’s first High Performance Home community, Laurel Court. These craftsman-style homes are built to the highest standards in energy efficiency, surpassing even Energy Star Standards.

Road and site work is currently underway and planning has begun on constructing the model home. The Samantha plan will be built on Lot 19 and priced at $381,900.
